I'm glad I'm not the only one that has moved backwards in years. I sold my '03 and bought a '96. I wanted something I could fix up and have more of a connection with. I had a '93 and thought a newer bike would be more of an advantage when taking long trips, but found my trip schedule has dwindled down to two a year. And this one I decided to leave stock. I know that flies in the face of common opinion, but being the state of my finances its all I can afford to do.Besides it seems in an attempt to make bikes their "own",everyone seems to put the same stuff on their bikes so they all look the same. Exhausts, bars, wheels, chrome covers, even paint jobs have that, "I've seen that one before"look to them. So mine will be unique as it has what it left the factory with.Maybe if I come across some cheap add ons I'll pick them up, but for now gas is the most I can spend without feeling guilty.,,
