From gas cap to surgery. This is a great forum and lots of morale suport. i put mine on the left handlebar behind the batwing. Ummm....yup, it was there when I started off. I didn't realize until I turned on the main road and it flew by my peripheral vision. I stopped and found the top part in the median. No bottom. I went to my scheduled meeting for a ride. I was the only one to show up to ride with Frank who rides an 05 Road Glide and as I relayed what happened, he relayed the importance of finding the bottom half before my 05 EGC popped codes.
We went back around the place and after about an hour or so, we found the bottom part on the other side of the raod, on the other side of the ditch, and sitting pretty on a grassy hill. WOW! Must have been hit and separated, no damage, snapped together and fit as advertised. Whew! What a save!
Hmmm....cap holster? Maybe a velcro model somewhere to put the cap while re-fueling? I would probably consider buying one. Maybe fit somewhere on the fairing
Congrads on the save!
Wow, a gas cap holster. I might do the velcro trick, good idea.
Man those guys make me feel old...I have almost 20 on Doc Hess.
