92 VS 93 EVO: What changed?

While researching replacement parts for my Fatboy's EVO rebuild I've noticed that SOME parts are for ALL 84-99 EVOs and some are specific to 84-92 and 93-99. What is the major differences (and interchangeability) between a 92 and 93 1340 EVO's? It seems there is a difference in breathers, the 93's have a head breather and 92 and older have the crankcase breather?? Anything else?

As far as the engine goes, I think it's only the breathers and rocker boxes that are different. That makes the nose cone different too. The other changes for 93 were the primary gear ration, number of teeth on the starter drive and clutch hub, dressers got the oil tank moved to the trans.

Starter drive gear and clutch ring gear and inner prim and starter changed in 1994

'92/'93 models got the INA cam bearing.

Good info guys thanks. How about the oil pump? It seems some listings have 2 different part numbers for a 92 and a 93.

Not sure about the pump, but I suspect it was then the crankcases were beefed up. The way the mufflers are clamped to the pipes was also changed around then, although the later pipes will fit earlier bikes. We seem to be running up quite a list of upgrades!
