Looks like Howard's busy! Take a look round his website for more details of what he can do for the keen Harley owner.

Just got back into the world as some terrorist breathed on me and tried to kill me with the flu.

To answer your question, the forks are made of components. They are KYB sliders with new bushings, a 43mm & 10mm longer fork tube, GXSR 1000 axle clamps, and 25mm KYB cartridges with Ohlins pistons and been re-valved so many times since 2006 that I can not count. I have done everything I know that is possible to modify these 25mm cartridges and it is the best it can be in Super Bike standards. After making the 30 mm Ohlins cartridge kit for my Dyna, it is apparent that I am throwing the KYB cartridges in the garbage (because the FXDLR rides & handles so much better) and installing the modified 30 mm Ohlins kit. I have to save my pennies because just like you, I have to pay for it myself. Ohlins does not give anything away!

I have been riding this bike, making modifications along the way, since 2005. Just when you think you are done up comes another modification. For the future I am designing super light weight controls that are all needle bearings with fold-able foot pegs. Got to drop some more pounds. I am also making some forward for the Sportster/Dyna because no one makes any light weight/quality controls.

The last thing is I needed is a front fender solution for my Ohlins forks. Taking it a step further, I am having made Carbon Fiber front fender which weighs so little I have to borrow a gram scale from the local crack dealer (do they have them any more?). The first will go on my Dyna, We will have them for the Dynas 2005 & 2006 types which will cover the Sportsters also. The price will be relatively inexpensive for C/F and will be direct bolt up. I will work and have it done durring Xmas/New Year while all of you are swilling Egg Nog with 3 ounces bourbon and getting laid all night. This is the design I am going with and yes I have the fender & mould.

Sorry but the forks are 28 1/2" long which allows the bike to sit level. The photo is mis-leading as it does sit level on a table. The stroke is 5 1/4" and has 45 mm of sag (for road/trip) & 35 mm of sag for hard riding. The stock Dyna & FL Dresser has 4.7" of stroke.
