Default Power Commander IIIr

Any of you guys running a Power Commander on your Evo? I'm trying to find a correct map for what I'm running.I've tried writing to PC,got a little help from them but no map.I also wrote to Jamie at Fuel Moto but no response.Guess if you don't have a new(er) bike with a new(er)PC controller you're outa luck.
This is what I know or don't know about my 98 RK: bought it from a local guy in town about 1 1/2 years ago. he had it for about a year or 2.He was a truck driver and never got to ride all that much, basically a few nice long distance trips.Last time he was out west i think and the bike started running crappy. He took it to a dealership, found it had a PC on it,They removed the PC,retuned it and sent him on his way. They kept the PC. I knew the bike was bought new in St. Louis from Doc's.I called them shortly after i bought it and tried to find the original owner just to have some history but they wouldn't give me the guys name so,no luck there. Since I've owned it,I really haven't done anything, motorwise.I did add Vance & Hines 3" fishtails,Fullsac true duals, picked up a Power Commander IIIr(used) It has a K&N filter.
When I put on the duals,I removed the baffles, love the sound but I know I'm no doubt running lean.I put the baffles back in the other day but It's been too cold to ride. I'd consider removing the baffles or doing some "changes" to them, installing the PC but I can't find a close map. One other thing,I have no idea or any way of finding out if the bike has had a stage 1 done to the ECU.
Any thoughts here??

There's no place around here close to have it dyno'd.Didn't really wanna spend a bunch of money on dyno's is why I bought the PC.Plus,if I change around on the baffles or do anything else to it,I'm back to the dyno again...

Haven't used a PC on an Evo,however I will share my experience on a trwin cam I owned; The power commander FAILED on top of a mountain in November! It almost left me up there and since then I wouldn't touch one. My stealership that installed it quite using them due to the failure rate. If I ever go back to a fuelie, I will use a race tuner.
My experience might be unique to people on the forum-who knows. My only concern is it leaving you in a bad place somewhere,at the worst possible time. Just my two cents, hope the information helps.....

This is the closest map on the Dynojet website. The Stage 1 is just the rev limiter raised some and nothing special on fuel so don't look into that too deep. With no baffles, it doesn't much matter what the name is on the system, it is still straight thru.

Download this map from Dynojet and install it, if it runs like crap then your choices are a dyno tuner or a Daytona Sensors Wego3 and make a custom map yourself. If you have either popping out the intake on take off accell or popping out the exhaust on decel, I can help with that but other than that it is just a guess without an AFR reading system.

M801-314 Samson True Duals, Samson fish tail slip-ons(without baffles), Stage 1 ECM and Screamin Eagle air filter

Here is the link to your PC3R software download.
http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...dType=PC-Older

Here is the link to your maps
http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...11&PartNum=801

Here is the instructons on how to operate the Powercommander and you will need this link, at the bottom is instructons on how to import a map with the older PC3R, you have alot of homework to do.

I have the serial port cable with cable interface CD and $20 in it if you need a communicaton cable

You will saying a few WTF along the way but have patience, download the software onto your computer and pull up the main screen with the mapping afr chart, read about importing maps, installing them into the main mapping screen and loading them into the PC on the bike and everything will become alot clearer. Good Luck!

The main mapping screen will show you where the fuel is being added and always save your map before exiting the main screen, there is a function you can turn on to ask you if you want to save the map when exiting, it is easy to forget to save the map when brain overload is happening.

Bagger,I noticed that the files starting with 801-000 thru 801-022 are all "map files, then 801-300 thru 801-320 have "map files" and "DJM files",then 801-501 thru 801-504 ,then 801-702 has "map and DJM" file. What's the difference, why 2 types of files?
Also on the map download page, the map files are sperated with 801-000 to 801-022 are in one section, then the 801-300 to 801-720 are in the next section, looking at these maps some of the lower numbered maps look the same or very similiar to the higher numbered maps. ??
