I think we might have a winner. I had an evo that spun the cam on the gear. The gears would still line up but the cam timing was off. Apparently the gear is just pressed onto the cam. I can't provide any more information than that since I didn't do the work. But that's how it was described to me by the mechanic. He replaced the gear and it's been good for 25,000 miles since.

Been all the way through. Checked the timing thoroughly. Anybody know how to test an ignition module?

Ign module would have Nothing to do with the low compression.
