Yes they have been a marketing whiz and we've driven there test vehicles for years!!!!!

kinda like when they were dead-set against synthetic oil, until they marketed their own.

haha thanks for all they replies! it just took me for a suprise yesterday when i was looking at other evo motors and their plug wirs at the coil was pluged up different than mine!lol!!

The knock against a dual fire ignition is that any unburned fuel still in the cylinder during the exhaust stroke would ignite and tend to fight against the other cylinder's power stroke. I'm sure there are still plenty of companies that sell single fire ignition conversions for older bikes.

It is not about what makes more sense, the fact is that the old ignition systems used one coil for both plugs, they fire at the same exact time.

Thumbs up Crane Hi-4

I have the Crane Hi-4 Single Fire Ignition installed in 2003 with my new top end, cam, S&S Carb, etc. and it hasn't missed a beat. '91 FLHS Electra Glide Sport is my bike.
