I have a '95 FLSTC and mine are connected with a bolt. If you don't want the driving lamps all you have to do is remove the bolts and the wiring harness and put the bolt back in. You might have to use a shorter bolt.

Well i tried that but looks like the piece that is attached to the light bar is fused to the chrome side rail were the bolt go through to the triple tree i take the bolt out and the light bar bracket doesnt want to come apart from the chrome side rail i cant see how it would be attached but cant pull it apart ?

It should fall right off. Maybe it is simply held on with friction. I would try a rubber mallet or a piece of wood. IE place a 2x4 at hte joint and give it some taps and see if it breaks free. That way you don't damage any of the chrome.

Yea, what TX said. I have a 93 which is identical to yours and the bolt on either side is all that holds it on. (They're all pretty much the same anyways.)
