Looking for a little help here. I need to mount a clutch cable bracket to bolt #2 in the picture. I have chrome bolts now as I just replaced the front end with a chrome front end.
The blot that attaches here is is too short to grab any threads when I place the Bracket there.
Any advice on where I can find a chrome Allen head bolt that is a little longer?
If your postinng this I'm sure you may have already tried this but, my local hardware stores cary this kind of stuff. Although it is under lock and key.
When I installed a quick attach windshield bracket and relocated my signal lights to bottom attachment bolt on the bracket I needed a set of longer chrome allen bolts.
I actually went to the Harley dealer and they looked through their selection of bolts and found 2 longer bolts for me at a cost of $4.00.
Normally they would be the last place I would go but I could not find the bolt I needed in chrome anywhere else.
www.BoltDepot.com. They're awesome. You can find nearly any bolt, in chrome or black, any length, and they're usually just a few dimes. Shipping is generally $5 or so, so it's better to load up as much as you can per order, but I've found 'em to deliver in just a couple of days. I've been replacing the chrome bolts with black oxide on my bike and it's impressive what a selection this place has.

I was going to suggest this place. I've ordered lots of fasteners from them and they usually have just what I need. The only thing they don't have for my bike is the two 3/8-24 x 1 1/4 oval head screws for the rear fender brackets. Nobody has them.
