Almost stranded but got lucky
So when I got my bike I put a new shifter arm/lever on. The old one was bent. Well apparently this new peice o junk would not clamp on the splines like it should. I tighened it down REAL good with loctite and I should be good right. But as me and four other buddies were out riding it backed off. But here is the lucky part. I felt it come off at about 65 MPH and it was barely HANGING on my foot peg. So I limped over, poped it back on and used a zip tie to hold it in place. Splines are great but the new part is crap. I could have taken a heel shifter off one of the FL bikes riding with me but still I can't beleive I did not lose the shifter. Put the old one on when I got home and it works fine for now.
And of course we all got back on the road with my new zip tie mod and the storms him.
