It depends what you want the cam to do....if they are close in values there will not be a lot of difference.....check the nightrider website....if you know what all the numbers mean you can make an informed choice, otherwise just use EV46 and be done with it, its a good cam for useable street power if you want more oomph than an EV27.

Remember...its not about the numbers but the ride......if drag racing from the lights is your thang them maybe a V-Rod would be the way to go ;-)

I have an Andrews EV27 in my 96 Low Rider. For me its the right cam because I have nothing but the stock compression, air cleaner, pipes and an ignition. If you have more than that done to your bike you will need a different cam. What is your current setup?

When I lost a lifter a couple of years ago it wiped out my EV-3. I went back with a 27 and am most happy with it. It works in the RPM range I normally ride at and with the stock rev limiter the only difference I can feel is the 27 has a little more low end pull than the 3, which never got it's full legs in at the rev limit. The FXR is a much lighter bike than your Dyna and I'm afraid you might be disappointed in it's performance if you go with the EV-3. I really don't know how the SE11 compares to the EV-3, just telling you what to expect if you go to the 3.

If you search this forum for EV27 you will be flooded with threads enthusing about them. You might as well leave your current cam in and wait until you can afford an EV27, then you can join the army of fans of it! I had one in my bike for many years until the power craze overtook me.
