95 custom died
Well, bike sat off the charger for two full days. Rode to and from work twice (went home for lunch and to get cell phone) all was good.
Tested the battery off, then on not running, then at idle and revved. Voltage never moved from 12.4~12.9. Only hit 12.9 when bike is off.
Guess I can just ride on?

Yup, you're good to go. Have fun. Go on a long, long ride.
Seriously, doode, did you read the link? Your charging system is fried. I think you're in over your head here. Time for some professional assistance.

Some people are not going to see or hear what they don't want too ran into far too many of them over years being a mechanic , I quit a job over one really hard headed case I wasn't going to deal with him anymore . We have tried and he'll just have see where this one goes on his own only way this type learns anything .
Ok, ok, easy gents. I know I can be a bit hardheaded, but holy hell.
I'm only looking for comfirmation on the voltage staying at 12.5 at rev (HESS, you state in the link I DID READ that the ideal voltage while revving is 13~15v and to replace battery if its below 11.5ish) so in your experience, is it ok if it stays at 12.5v? Not trying to be a smarta$$
The charger I bought is the tender type and wont overcharge, it goes into a maintenance mode to maintain the battery. It also will abort charge if I sees that charging isn't possible. Please educate me if I'm thinking wrong, hold the bashing.
I also saw that the voltage regulator plug to the motor case was really cruddy so I cleaned it. The negitive terminal wasn't sloppy loose, but it wasn't as snugged down as tight as I would tightened. I noticed this as I was putting the battery tender quick connect cable on.
Only looking for POSITIVE feedback, save the bashing.

Depends on the type battery you have , an acid wet cell the tender is ok and AGM or " dry style " like Odessy take a bigger high amp charger and will cook a wet one .
And yeah you did need a bit of a tree shake to open up a bit bud , sorry if it ruffled but now your eyes are open for what your asking .

Not ruffled, and I hear what y'all are saying.
You gotta admit the fine line of voltages and the (ish) type numbers given makes my system seem ok by the first test so why would I move on to the next set of test?
I'm gonna test the stator output tomorrow when I get home.
