Get a J&P Cycles Catalog. They will have most if not everything that you want.
Go up www.jpcycles.com or call 800-397-4844 and ask for a catalog. Then look through the appropriate section and see if you can locate what you are looking for.
The wiring is a little weird for the dash instruments so once you identify what you got, get a HD manual for that particular instrument panel. Ask around, for example if it matches any of my bikes I'll be glad to break the law and send you a copy of that particular page.
Heck, HD might even feel sorry for you and let you look at one of their books. Which brings up; did you talk to a local dealer or indy???
I believe in 2000, the FXR came with electronic speedometer. All previous were cable driven. Check the transmission to determine....if it has a raised hump, then it was for the 1999 model. If there is a cutout for the Speedo sensor....then it probably is for the 2000 year model.
Those two year models could be rather difficult in locating parts for. Totally different FXR's here.
