Some say, some don't. As a matter of fact the grey Color is the same as on the B-29 Superfortress Bomber. The yellow rings also can be found on them.

I have a '95 heritage and I took a friends '99 road glide (TC) for a 250 mile ride (mine was down for paint and I needed a fix) and there is no comparison. I will take the EVO over the TC. The TC just don't feel right.

I say ride the one that makes you happy.

Yes, it is absolutely true. The only time the MOCO will deny it is if they are forced to publicly address the issue. For obvious publicity reasons, they will say thats all the features are just a coincidence. Just in the same way they try to hide the 1977 Confederate models, yet there are plenty of them rolling around. Harley, like any large corporation, won't cut its own throat. The Fat Boy (original Model) was named after the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan in WWII. Its bomber gray and has the same yellow stripping the bombs them selves and bombers of the day had. It has bomber style wheels and one other feature that escapes me right now as well. There was a ton of hoopla when the Fat Boy was originally released over this. To this day you can still find tons of posters and literature surrounding this unique model. Far more than damn near any other model. Thats the reason for it, the MOCO will just never "admit" it.

Snopes don't know **** about Harleys, H-D never used the yellow stripes before or since and a fatty is no fatter than a Heritage and a heap skinnier than a Full Dresser...nah mate, I am with the conspiracy theorists on this one because its the only theory that actually makes sense...and yeah H-D ain't never gonna admit it!!!

Note the pic is of a TC fatty and not the original with the yellow stripes...google 1990 fatboy and you'll see it looks totally plausible.

Scroll through here and you will find pictures of the original bombs, no yellow rings that I can see. You will find yellow rings on many of the GP bombs such as the 500 lb'rs and I think people just assumed the atomic bombs had them, yellow rings denote HE bombs..see the attachment..
