A fresh bore with a little added compression and a nice camshaft, you will be impressed after riding a stock EVO, with that said, and in my opinion only, added a stroker kit to a motor that's alright (wear wise ) isn't worth the added cost, and you won't see huge gains for your dollar , chad

Exactly, no need to spend big money for more bang, all I did was cam. pistons and pipe's, it really woke up my evo for very little money, I'm at about 75hp now, and I have no problem keeping up with the bigger 1500+ cc fuel injected cruisers.

I am running Screamin Eagle pistons close to 11:0 compression, Woods Cam, 2/1 exhaust, Crane ignition, Mikuni carb, and lots of head work and have no problem smoking Twins Cams with my FXSTC.

The next step would be the 127 inch .....oh yeah.
