Go to this site: http://www.bikergarage101.com/servlet/StoreFront

I just bought a set of Cycle Shack drag pipes for $29.00 + $12.00 shipping. Have them in my hands as we speak. Scroll through their clearance stuff. It is hit or miss, but if they have what you can use, they have some good deals. I have bought a couple things from them in the past year. They are "otay" in my book.

Why do I always find what I want after I buy something I don't.

OMG you bought them from Demon's...won't that cause the earth to stop rotating...lol

Damnit, I did not want to buy them from Demons. I wanted American made Paughco's but apparently thats not possible. So yeah, I went nutty and used freakin' Demons. If the world stops rotating, just blame me.

Bikerlaw-To help prevent or at least slow down bluing of pipes I sprayed several coats of hi temp paint into them. It took awhile for them to change color at all and the only bluing is very close to the head. Then past that there is a few inches of a kind of gold color. The folks at Paugho suggested I try it on a new set of 2 into 1 fishtail pipes I bought. Might help you too....

Best of luck to ya Bikerlaw, let me know what works for ya.

Thanks for all the replies throughout this thread. I got home before the rain started and did a quick experimentation with the lollipops. At least with the ones I had, the 90 degree seemed to work the best overall as far as performance. That being said, I really don't think there was a ton of difference in power no matter how I oriented the lollipops. The sound change was the biggest difference. I never quite got them how I liked them but it didn't matter much since all the parts I was waiting for showed up today. So I got right to work on the 1 3/4 Chinese Drag Pipes with the torque cones. It was raining, so there was no test ride tonight, but I'll take a ride tomorrow. Thanks again for all the help.

Because I am a picture *****, heres a few shots of the new pipes on their first break in fire. She'll cool down and tomorrow I'll re-tighten all the bolts and put this project to bed. Tell you the truth, this was like the last mod I had planned for the bike. Like the last one I EVER plan to do. When I was installing the pipes all I could think was.......damn, she's done. Fuggit, time to sell her and buy another bike. Does $6,500 sound reasonable for a heavily modded '96 Dyna??? I couldn't see taking any less.

Thanks. I would certainly ask more, but I was thinking a base bottom figure was 6500. Its just I have three bikes in the garage now including my wifes, and selling one pays for the next one. Its just half the fun of owning a bike is messing with it. Once I've done all I can do, its time to start over. But you never know.......

LOL...I've been on this site a couple years or so, you have one bad case of "tinkeritis" and 6500 would probably not cover the parts you have tossed at that bike...!!!...Really good job btw...

That being said, I've been looking around for something for a project, might even end up with my old bike back, but the prices out there really suck for a seller. I've seen some screaming deals on stuff I don't want like early 2000 twinkies with low mileage and bagger evos. You will need to find someone who already knows your bike for what it is or someone who appreciates the Springer and wheels. You just have to find someone who loves your mods..

Goog Luck
