My '97 had the voes removed too. Ran great, mileage sucked. Voes went back on !

Nothing under the seat, battery is behind the right saddlebag. I've had the bike down to frame and engine......no module other than the blinker canceling box. Got 6" of snow yesterday, so I wont be riding this week anyhow.

Someone changed it to one of those all in the cone units. That doesn't mean it doesn't use the VOES, though.

Start at the ignition coil. Follow the wire coming from the negative side to wherever it goes. That's your module.
