'92 - '93 bagger differences?

Default '92 - '93 bagger differences?

Alright experts, what are the differences in frame construction (mainly on the bottom of the bike) between the '92 and '93 model years. Also how 'bout the oil pan?
I like Khrome Werks head pipes that run together down the right side frame (like the newer bikes) as it covers up what I think to be a pretty ugly part of the bike. The primary cover hides the other side so no biggie there. Anyway, they fit '93 to '09 models and attach to the oil pan. I emailed them wondering if the oil pan from a '93 would fit a '90, then maybe the pipes would work, and they said no way as the model was a complete change starting in '93.
What say you guys about an adaptation?

Frame is not the problem, If I remember correctly the trannie belongs on a head breather and the oil pump is in the way. I have heard you can grind off a piece of the trans that in the way.

I'm guessing that whatever the issue is, is also the reason the Throttle Up Industries Touring Stabilizer won't work on my '90 also.
If there is a way to modify it, I'd do it. Maybe I need to find someone locally with a '93 model bike and compare notes.
It's getting kinda frustrating that HD and the aftermarket companies have just forgotten about these older bikes. I understand why though.

I also have a 90 and was looking at the different ways to make it track better and wound up opting for sta-bo's and a velva-ride front motor mount. Its works for me. Also make sure you have a decent set of rear shocks.

I have a local indy who has manufactured a third stabilizer that will work on our older bikes. He says that he will install it and if your bike doesnt handle better he will remove it and refund your money. He used to drag race HD's long ago and still has se of his old bikes in the shop.

Well I have a pair of Progressive Suspension Air Dragger shocks. They seem to work pretty well.
I really don't have any handling issues now. I drive sensibly though. I got most of the **** n vinegar out on the drag strip many years ago. That said, if the urge ever does hit me, I'd like to know it's going to handle properly. So I've looked at and considered all the frame and suspension mods.

That's be great, but So Cal is a bit far to go for a frame stabilizer. Can I stay with you?

The basic frame didn't change until the new frame came out in 2009. There were some small changes over the years. The oil tank moved under the transmission starting with the 1993 model year Touring models. the Rear Brake master cylinder moved forward to make room for the oil tank.
In 1997, the frame was wider for the rear swing arm change, and the rear brake master cylinder moved outside the frame.
Any Exhaust system will work for any year Rubber Frame up until the new frame in '09. I took the system from a friend's new 2001 Twinkie and put it on my 1989 Ultra. It bolted up without any problems.

i have a complete '07 street glide exhaust on my '89 FLHTCU. bolted right up except i had to remove the mount bracket from the tranny or starter, can't recall. did not substitute it with anything and it has been fine for 4 years
