I am wanting to use the front brakes from a 07 ElectraGlide on my 94 TourGlide. Was there a year that has the newer brake and still had a 3/4 axel? I have the set of lower legs from an 07 that are powder coated black I would like to use if they make bearings in 1" to go in my wheel. Thanks for any help.
If you go to 1 inch bearings you will need to modify the speedo drive. There is a company that makes or made an adpater bracket to mount the newer calipers.
I used my stock 3/4" axle, bearings etc in the 2006 legs i fitted, i just had some brass bushing made up to sit inside the new legs to sleeve them down from 1" to 3/4".
The easiest way to do it, is leave everything 3/4 axle, buy a new 2000 and up axle and have a machine shop turn it down to 3/4 where the bearings ride. I've done several of them.
here is a not so great pic of my bushings cost me only a few quid to get made up.
one side is a one piece sleeve that sits in the left (sitting on the bike) fork leg and the other is a two piece that sits in the right.
Sitting on the bench now as i have out a modern wheel and 1" axle on recently, mate of mine is doing the same swap on his softail shortly so they will be put to use again
