I have a 1990 FXSTS Springer with the stock (narrow) front tire and want to convert it to a wide front tire.
It looks possible if I were to remove the fender mounts and center the new rim with spacers. I might also have to go with a different brake caliper (unsure).
Question: has anyone ever converted the narrow front rim & tire of the 1990 FXSTS to a wide front tire (similar to a FLSTS) ?
Thanks for any information.
Mike
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but "I have looked" and only found questions regarding changing out the front forks on a bike...Not just the tire.
