Who trashes shifter?
How many of you guys chuck the rear/heel shifter and just use the front shifter? Every Hd I have ever had it is the first thing to go.
In theory I suppose this should be posted on the HD chat section, but damn, I try to stay away from there.

The dual shifter looks damn cool, but under pressure (emergency) it just gets in the way.
I can't take credit for it, but yes, it works... sort of, lol. Have an old riding lawnmower engine that is waiting to be popped into a "new" Woody. Beachbars and 18" Whitewalls. There won't be any problem fitting a pogo seat on this one. Yaa Baby!

At first I thought it was in the way and was planning to get rid of it, but then I thought about it and realized how it worked and decided to give it a try. I am very tall, which means my lower legs are pretty much straight up and down when my feet are on the floor boards. Because of the angle of my lower legs and ankle, it's MUCH easier to use the heel shifter for up shifts than to try to lift up on my toes to pull up on the toe shifter. Once I got it adjusted to where it's the most comfortable for me, I love it and use it all the time. I don't want to have to be without it now.
I love everything about the heel-toe shifter. I love the way it looks and I love the whole motion of shifting up with my heel. Just seems "Harley Davidson" to me.
More importantly, I wear a coupla different pairs of nice western boots and I don't want to mark up the top of the toe of those boots. I mean, what would they think at church?
