Default Evo Idle

92' FXR stock except for s&s super e and drag pipes....bike idles perfectly, but after a snap of the throttle the idle stays high and want return to regular idle for a few seconds and sometimes never (have to turn bike off)... Have tried messing with throttle cables and am out of ideas?

I put the s&s carb setup on not to to long ago? I'll check bolts to be sure, but hope they haven't backed out that quickly...I've heard people say it could be lean????

Problem is most likely due to the new carb. set up .
Check the obvious ... loose this and that , vacume leak etc.
Really need more precise info. as ... how long is " not to long ago " .?
What else did you change , what s&s setup , etc. etc.
Cant help without detailed desciption of your problem !

carb was put on in January 2012.. followed s&s carb setup procedure to the "T".. As for S&S setup? Super E with jet sizes that came in the carb...Everything has ran perfect and never gave a problem until a week ago...Thats when the issue started. May very well be intake leak...

If it isn't an air leak, check the throttle cables. Try backing off on the throttle and idle cables about 1/2 turn each. If they are too tight they will do this also.

Yes! didn't pay attention when putting the throttle back on and this happened exactly.
Good luck.
