I recently acquired a set of chrome lowers for the Ultra.. However, mine is a '95 and these are for the later '00.. I'm comfortable with the idea that I'll need calipers, and I already want to replace the brake lines due to rusty fittings. But, is the air suspension the same? I updated the Dyna, but dont know enough about the baggers yet, to know what fits and what needs to be changed.. Is it much different than an FX style front end?
On the same topic, what year wheels can I use??? When did they change to the 1" axle and can I change the bearings or is there a bushing or something that can make a 3/4" axle work in a 1" style wheel??? It seems like there are a ton of Street Glide wheels out there for sale..
You can get 3/4 inch reducers on EBay I think the inner workings are the same as many do the fork slider retro-fit but try to get a look inside one of each year to be fully sure.....some things don't change much over the years on Harleys.

You wouldnt happen to have an actual name of the parts or a link, would you?? I searched for axle reducers and finaly everything under Harley axles, found nothing I thought fit the description..
Thanks for the help..
Well, damn, that was easy enough.... Thanks!! I'm assuming I'll need to re measure spacers because of the bearing change and these extra reducers, correct??

Chuck them in and then check spacers, they might be precision made to fill the space exactly but I have never used them, you can also change the bearings to ones with a 3/4 id.
Put 06 lowers on my 95 RK a while back, changed just the calipers and the lowers, got a brass bushing made for each side so that i could run the stock axle and wheel, spacers are the same discs work etc etc, an easy job that was well worth it!
Have since moved to a newer wheel with 1" bearings and got a new 1" axle and spacers
NOTE, that link is for reducers for running a 1" wheel on a 3/4 axle, you want to run a 3/4" wheel with 1" lowers.

I had a local machine shop spin the stock 1" axle down to 3/4 to match the older length dimensions so all the stock spacers would work . Done a few like that for the older bikes converting to the later 00 to 07 front end parts but still running the pre 99 wheels .
