Take primary off, then motor, then tranny.

Get a box of plastic bags and put all the bolts, nuts, and washers and tag them..Example outer primary, inner primary, transmission, when you label each bag it will make life so much easier when you go to put it all back together..

Ditto broke c7 !
Do yourself a Big favour and fork out the beans for the factory manual .
It has a step by step procedure for your particular endevour AND everything else you need to know later.

...and the parts manual is also a must. When you are sitting there with 2 bolts and one grommet left going WTF?, this will tell you where they belong. the diagrams are way better than the service manual.
