I want to do this, any preference on prefabbed brand or kit? I want something to fit a lepera barebones not a custom seat.
Opinions, options...

If you are going to do it...get the ones that are one piece...not the welded on extensions. The one piece ones are curved on the bottom...stock tanks are flat on the bottom, and then angle down where the extensions are welded on. The curved bottom gives the effect of a stretched frame and makes the rocker boxes easier to clean. Got mine off ebay for $40...not sure of the brand.

I always thought that was a nice mod. I see the plastic overlays from bad dad but they would scare me being a glue on...
Please take lots of pix.

For touring models that's your only choice is an overlay, never heard of any problems from the epoxy.
I'm not a fan of bad dads overlays though

For sale till jan 1st, after that I feel it'd be a real time crunch to build something and be ready by march. So it looks like I'm doing more to this now

I got my strched tanks from Eastern Performance a few years ago. I think it was their last set because I got them real cheap. not sure of the brand.
