Default No sound at starting

Last Friday I went to Vegas for a funeral (356) miles round trip. The old Evo Rat Bagger ran like a dream. Saturday I went to run some errands and do some bar hopping, after my 1st stop I hit the ignition switch, the switch clicked and nothing. Rolled the bike a few feet hit it, again and it fired right up. Made 2 more stops (and the same scenario). Battery seems to read fine. Last night hit the ignition and it fired right up, turned it off, went to feed the dogs tried again then nothing (no noise at all). Anyone have any thoughts?

Dirty handlebar switch , bad start relay , bad starter solenoid , wiring or wiring connectors , etc. etc.
Follow the start system check list in your HD shop manual.

Have you removed the seat ,and put a wrench on the battery terminals?
A loose battery cable is the number one cause of the symptoms you describe.

Thanks boys! Your advice was great, but after trying to jump the starter across the solenoid I found that the spade clip leading into the starter had dislodged from the wire. So I was happy to find the issue coming to $0.10 instead of over $300.00. Of course it took me over 5 hours to discover that, but I'm satisfied to have found the problem. Again thanks!

Glad to hear you found the gremlin but a word to the wise... if one wire has disconnected itself , you can be sure there are others that need some tlc.
My newly purchased 1990 FLT had wiring that needed lots of work.
I would get to as many connectors as possible and check for tightness , corrosion etc. Do a pull test on the wires in the harness located at the pivot point of the front end. This is were the harness bends as you turn the bars back and forth. A visual inspection at this location might look fine but there could be only a few conductors left unbroken inside the plastic outer covering.
The pull test will identify the ones that are ready to leave you stranded.
