THC you should be checking your lights EVERY day they are part of your safety and should be included in you pre ride inspection, just think of it like a truck do your "walk around" every day it might save you life. As far as the brake light +1 on the ground, might have got disturbed when you did the motor, might have even missed one.

Most likely ground. Clean up all the studs and terms. Nice lookin Iron........

Did you mess with any wires during the surgery?

If you did go back and check the connections.

Probably under the seat because I added a tie down for the battery and I had to move the wiring around.

Jack up the bike then take an electrical tester and ring the wires from the brake light to the pressure switch. Put the cardboard or some shim in the lever before removing the right switch housing.

Ya 60 up my way but about a 1/2 inch of cinders and salt all over the dam roads!
