BTW, I'll be swapping my Ultima coil for an S&S unit tomorrow.
The original coil on my bike is the three wire. square plug with 3 stabs in a row. it is an early 97, don't know if that makes any difference or not, but I am positive that it is the original coil. I know that 2 of them are the windings, but am unsure of the third, as I don't have a schematic for it.

PS Cv performance.com sell a chock cable holder/bracket that bolts to the carb just move your cable over to the right side /carb side & mount it you just pull it up
As far as changing the tank goes, the older ones were all hard plumbed inside with steel lines. So, its either get inside the tank somehow and cut the lines off flush with the bungs, or put a carb bike tank on. with the old fuelie tank, you end up with about a half gallon of gas that wont exit the tank because the bung sticks up inside a good 3/4 inches.

I love the idea, but loosing cruise control is a deal breaker for me.. If anyone knows how to easily keep it, short of finding the exact bagger carb, I'm listening.. Seems like they're a bit difficult to stumble on..

I was able to find a carby with the cruise arm. Lots of EVOs being parted by recyclers on ebay.

The White Bike has a throttle lock on the grip, I have tightened the screw to just slight drag and holds, throttle can be turned back easily if needed before loosening the screw. I don't know what bikes the throttle lock is included with but should be available somewhere.

Yea, I've got one on the Dyna and do the same thing.. Works fairly well. However, having an operable cruise control on the bagger has gotten me spoiled since its my highway daily driver... You guys have me feeling a bit better about the MM in my particular situation, on this bike.. I'll be getting back with you when I get there in the next couple of months..
