EFI stripped off, single fire coil swapped in, harness in place, manifold on. Tomorrow carb and a lot of fretting over wiring. I guess I need to get the connector to hook the Ultima ignition into the harness.

The one convenience part yet to be mentioned is the bracket that bolts to the top motor mount and holds the VOES and enrichener. I did the swap without and made a hanger for the enrichener. Later in, I was given a bracket and installed it. Nicer and cleaner installation and look.

Finally it's done. 100 mile ride, 2 lane and xway............ I like it, alot.

hey guys my 98 flhtpolice evo died last week I'm gonna replace it with an other engine with carbright now all my plug are just lying around didnt look at it to much yet but is there a pic by pic thread somewhere that i could follow......i didnt really want to buy harness i wanted to just rip off what ever was not required the new engine come with ign...i just need to wire it in but not sure on what i can rip off..

The plug and play harness for the Evo is a non production item currently, can find them used on Ebay off used bikes, several use the Twinkie harness and alter a couple of wires to make it work.

Can one of you guys tell me why my 97 injected ultra has a 3 wire coil? that is to say it has 2 plug bosses, and 3 leads going to it. is one for the tach.? and can said coil be used with a crane hi-4 ignition module? going thru the e.f.i. to carb swap myself now. This and the tank are the only things left. oh, and the v.o.e.s. Thanks for any help you can offer. (nice handle, by the way)

A three wire coil is for a single fire ignition and should work with the Hi-4 module. The stock coil for your bike only had two leads. Crane should have a wiring diagram online.

BTW, I'll be swapping my Ultima coil for an S&S unit tomorrow.

WHYAR e ya'll changing the tanks for ? I did the swap on my 03 twinkie & just pulled it all out of the tank except the float for fuel gauge & bought a pet **** /fule valve from drag specials $25 , best mod I did for the TC ,Now I just have my EVO carb softie
PS Cv performance.com sell a chock cable holder/bracket that bolts to the carb just move your cable over to the right side /carb side & mount it you just pull it up
