need some help. Put new bearings, races and seals in both front and rear mag wheels. ****ing cant find the rear wheel hub spacers. These spacer sit in the oil seal and bear on the swingarm. I looked everywhere. Looked like typical spacer thats flanged. Anyone got a part number for me......86 fxr 5 speed chain drive........thanks
Heres how it sits now. Just got tank. Planning on cleaning, etching, and sealing new tank?? Replaced lower motor mount bushing last night. Forks came out pissa.....new tubes and seals.....and PC'd lower legs. Painted the mags and just painted front and rear fender last weekend....WHITE.
for a chain, I went with an EEK KKK 530. x-ring (never needs lubing), minimal stretch, and seemingly impossible to damage
the only "downside" is the rivetted master link (dont think its "repairable" on the side of the road....havent found a clip type link that'll fit it.
If the chain fails on you a clip link is the least of your worries, the chain can wipe out your primary if it fails. But for a roadside fix just buy a cheapo chinese 530 non-O ring chain (with link) and slap that on in the unlikely event the X Ring one fails.....you can even carry it with you.
BTW...its a myth that X Ring chains never need lubing, you have to keep them lubed with chain oil to prevent metal to metal contact between sprockets and chain. They last like forever if you do that.

Don't send this guy to "ELVIS" he will NEVER get his bike finished.....he will be so in debt.....ELVIS is not kind to us FXR Owners....let's just say he WANTS MORE than an ARM and a LEG....but he does give out autographs....
Do not assume that anything you see priced by ELVIS is what things should cost you.
