All belt drives have some noise as they aren't covered with a primary. They are reasonable compared to BDL, etc. To get the latest prices go to Jireh they sell the Ultima 2" belt drive for the baggers and FXR along with other styles. I like it because you can still use the floorboards.

You shouldn't have a problem with a good belt. The narrower belts used to be a problem, but not so much any more. You just need to ensure you have enough ventilation for cooling. Ours is a 2" belt and it handles 142 hp, 154 trq.

Carlos, We've had no problems with any of their belt drives. They have street and drag style belt drives. The drag style has the outboard bearing Unfortunately they only list fitting 1900-2006.

Is the belt drive still hanging in there? I keep eating starter gears and my jackshaft has come loose x2. With the belt drive all you have to do is pull the starter gear cover off and tighten.
what ignition are you runnng? Ever get any starter kickback? Unless I hold down my comp release down it is a kick back fest.
