H-D used the push and hold because they were too tight to make proper switches or at that time a decent module. Those indicator switches are actually starter switches and they used cheap *** flasher units that require a continuous connection. It was a stop gap measure and a lame one at that.

Can anyone tell me where mine is? 90 herritage? I'm waiting on a manual from my closest dealer

Flasher module. I didn't want to start a new one just to ask. I have the badlands module but can't find he old one to replace it with

I don't know about the Heritage. Mine was up in the steering head. Maybe under your seat, I don't know?

I don't know about the '90 for sure. My '94 is under the dash base plate, between the fuel tanks. Did you look there?
