The crane rollers are basically just replacements for what's there already. Those still had the outer race, bearing, inner race, axle set-up. Later tappet designs remove the inner race component from the roller assembly. I put those cranes on to refub my stock ones with the new cam, but they still didn't hold their own. The hydraulics are just too weak to take the steep ramps. You can disassemble and shim up the innards, but why bother? I had a set of SEs on for awhile, but two bad out of the box and I just switched over to the fueling lifters and that was that. Thought about going with Jims, but I've had good luck with fueling on other bikes and they were $100 cheaper.
I'm running a stock tranny set-up and a 34-tooth front pulley.

You don't half spout some twaddle mate...stock lifters are perfectly OK with EV27 and EV46 for that matter THAT IS WHY THEY ARE CALLED "BOLT IN" CAMS!!!!
Sorry to shout but you can't go around giving out advice on these forums that simply isn't true.
I've been doing this for 35 years and whereas I don't know everything...I know BS when I read it
Whatever ... Going with the fuelings got rid of nearly all the lifter noise.
Edit:
Well, to be fair the SEs got rid of the noise too, until they started failing. I replaced the second failure on the road with a new stock lifter (no SE replacement available) and got lifter noise again. After I got home I went with the fuelings. Asking around some of the other indies, it seems to be a fairly common thing with the EV27. If you don't mind lifter noise, then by all means run the stock lifters.
I have the exact same setup 9.5 ratio, ev27 cam, worked cv. Never thot about the noise but personally, the noise doesnt bother me in the least, Im used to solid cams and roller cams and gear drives in my drag cars. I thot a evo was supposed to be a lil noisy or id of bought a Hunda
IWOMBAT what kind of pushrods were you using? I also have Crane adj. pushrods going in, maybe that will help keep her quiet also. Before this noise thing, the only advice I was given was to swap out the stock valve springs, but once again, Andrews said the stock springs were good. Plus I just had mine cleaned up and reinstalled to stock specs.
I was wondering what all the noise was from my top end and now I know explains everything glad I read this I thought I was getting parranoid. Was about to take her to the indie and spend good money just to find out its because of the cam and lifter setup thanks everyone
