I'm gonna keep running the Fram chrome filters (PH-6065B) and Valvoline motorcycle blend 20-50. There's no way I'll ever put 400,000+ miles on this bike. If it was good enough for Charlie it's good enough for me. I have a buddy with an Ultra. He only uses HD filters and HD syn3 in his bike, which sits in the garage 99% of the time. If he ever puts 5,000 miles on his bike I'll be shocked. The way I see it he's throwing his money away because he changes the syn3 every six months with a whopping few hundered miles on it.
If my old EVO wears out I'll fix it, sell it or trade it. I change the oil and filter several times a year and won't worry about it beyond that. My indie guy says that filter is fine for an EVO and as long as I run motorcycle blend oil everything will run as it should.
