4 foot steel pipe for a breaker bar works like a charm for me. I also use the delrin step thing. I'm sure cutting a piece of bar stock would work too.

I always use bungies to clamp down on both brakes to keep the bike from rolling forward.

You do it wile the bike is on the ground????????

I would think that would be a pain in the ***!!!!!!!!!!

A nut that tight is kinda stupid to me......

I guess that depends on how much you want a loose compensating nut.

Works for me! My cheap *** lift is too unstable to apply enough torque to remove that beast of a nut. With her being on the ground and the brakes on all the force goes to moving the nut, not the bike.

Like I said, works for me, but I'm fairly new at this stuff!

Like I said, works for me, but I'm fairly new at this stuff!

You must be a lot younger than me!!!!
There ain't no way I could bend over that far and do any work!!!

I do them on the ground but don't lock the brakes because all the force is downwards.

You would be surprised how often they can come undone when the bike is running too!

Always use Loctite.

Have a helper stand on the rear brake with the transmission in 5th gear.

I just got done removing primary because my compensator came loose. I made sure to use 2 drops of red this time. I didn't use my lift either.
