well maybe its me but i never used a picture of a cam cover bushing and determined it was good WOW
i am old and doing it the wrong way all this time - using a mike and a dial bore gage so when the job is done the customer does not have oil pressure issues from excessive clearence BUT hell i guess pictures dont lie after all -- good luck dude i have 10 grand in machinest instruments and pictures do the same thing --- LIVE AND LEARN

I am at a stage where I have put a lot of hard earned dough into this part rebuild and am now on a very,very tight budget so any advice from the forum is very much appreciated. Advice is given free and I havent been told yet by anyone that their advice has to be adhered to .
I dont know what the cost of taking the parts (cams) to be checked by an engineer would cost here in UK and it is not that easy to find an engineer that would undertake the work. Perhaps you could indicate what the cost would normally be your side of the pond.
iMy old Ultra would now be in the scrapheap if it wasnt for all the excellent advice (+ encouragement) I have received on this forum. regards,Bungo
