I tried stepping up on the left floorboard so it would be easier to get my right leg over, it worked pretty good. But that way I'm putting my 220lbs right on the Jiffy stand, and I'm wondering if I might snap it....that would really suck. Have you ever snapped a Jiffy stand before, or heard of anyone? What do you think? Or I could trade it for a Vespa!

Never heard of a kickstand breaking. I've heard about the kickstand "spring" breaking. Btw, if you trade for a scooter, IMO get a 650 Burgman. My wife has one and I can't keep up with her from a dead stop. Actually, I think the Burgman has a higher top speed too.

I know several people who get on their bike that way for a variety of reasons.
Someone here reported visiting the factory and watching them being made. He reckoned there is no way they can ever break! My first Harley dealer used to jack a Glide onto its jiffy, to remove the wheels. When I asked him if they were strong enough he just chuckled and assured me they are!
Mrs B uses the rear footboard to mount the bike before I get on and we've been doing that for many years.
There is no better no stronger stand any where . They never break or fail.
On dumb owner's that screw up then blame HD.
Will it break you judge.
