Well that's quite a tease so I'll bite. What can we do to make our FL's much better, shock wise?
You could do this. These things are the bees knees - custom-built Ohlins from HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal. Howard there also offers JRI shocks now. Both come with springs matched to fit you and your ride, Ohlins are valved to Howard's special recipe.
Not only can Mrs B and I now spend much longer in the saddle, because the ride is so much smoother and more comfortable, but we have NEVER bottomed out! As HDF members, Howard there offers us good discounts, so give him a call, but get yourself a long drink first!
While the stock FLHX rear shocks will fit on other baggers, lowering the rear without lowering the front will adversely affect the handleing of your bike. If you are a conservative rider, you may never feel it, but if you drag the kickstand, footboards, footboard mounts, highway pegs and thier mounts on both sides carving corners, you may have issues. Lower both ends to keep the steering geometry correct.
