Anyone out there with a 120 124 127 131 running a super g with thunderjet? I have a 127 with super g thunder jetted and external air bleed. My question is what size t jet and airbleed are you running.
Brad
Here is something that may compare to what you are looking for, It it info for the Ultima R1 which is a G copycat, S&S patent expired. Down towards the bottom is settings for this carb with a Thunderjet on a 127
I have a S&S 124 that Hillside Cycle installed custom made 4 3/16 CP pistons yielding 127 C.I. with their ported heads. Running a Super G with Thunderjet. My jets are as follows: Intermediate 35 Main 78 External Bleed 130 Thuderjet 135. Bike runs slightly rich with plug color a little dark but keeps the engine cool on very hot 90+ degree days.
Thanks for your responses currently I have 82 main 33 intermediate 120 t jet and 140 bleed its kind of confusing when they use khien jets as a bleed and tjet because the sizes are way different. For instance my original 50 air bleed prior to tjet is the same size as my 140.......
start up today we will see how this set up works but scott at hillside seems to have this down to a science. I like the smaller main keeps mpg upp and power when u need it.( allenz )
Scary from club chopper used the set up I am trying today, but with a handfull of jets who know were it will end up. Supposed to be 65 degrees today in california!!!
Well it ran really good not flst spot or stutter during transition . I dont know if it was correct jetting or the "gun site" mod, but it runs ****. 1 1/4 turns out air/fuel 1 turn out accelerator pump.
ended up staying with 33 intermediate 82 main 120 tjet 140 air bleed....
Fuc... now it runs so good I am ripping through my clutch at 4000 rpm. Its a screamin eagle clutch with extra spring..... what are you guys running.?
Not many 127s in here! I've just bought an AIM VPC for my ickle bike, to reduce clutch lever effort. An alternative is to replace the entire clutch with a new butch one, such as a Baker.
Got a 127" in route so I'm going to tag along, the Bandit of Jaspers is popular and a Barnett Scorpion is also popular.
Spoke today to John Sachs who is a master of head work and gave me a run down of cleaning up the heads plus sending him the Ultima R1 carb, he has a few mods that help the S&S and R1 carbs and productive HP by cleaning up what is already there. John started talking engines and when I mentioned Evo's, seemed like I found a long lost friend, cool stuff with him opening up.
Been hearing alot about the Drago Dragula 2-1 for bigger engines, spoke to Frank Drago and mentioned John Sachs building a crate S&S 124" street engine that used the Dragula and hit 160 hp, when speaking to John, he confirmed the engine output and exhaust used, he said the 124" was still tame and had more in the tank if someone started catching it on the street, down side is he said a Ultima 127" won't reach that area with street manors. Not interested in that kind of horsepower but a plus for a S&S getting there with ease in the right hands.
