Why not just replace them one by one and put the new ones where you took the old ones from?

Or is this a new build?

Its a complete rebuild. I took a 88 FLST & completely disassembled it. Gave the motor to HD to rebuild it in their remanufacturing program. Had the transmission rebuilt. I added the Heartland 250 kit & complete new wiring harness. Basically everything is new or rebuilt.

I documented everything as well as I could with pictures and notes. I know where all the lines terminate. But since I was going with the braided stainless precut lines, I figured the lines would just end up where they needed to go. Now that I'm cutting the lines myself, I'm just concerned I may run the oil lines in an area that could cause problems. Just need to know where the two lines for the oil filter go.

Not sure. But my manual only shows the routing graphically. No mention of where on the frame the lines are run.

ok i am going to guess its a stock softail oil tank - the only oil line that comes in contact with the frame is the drain at the bottom to the rear of the trans R/S

the others hang in the area of the oil pump to the tank -- all 3 tank fittings are at the bottom of the oil and on the right side ?????????

soooooooooo i dont understand what you are looking to do

I'm good with all lines except the two that run forward to the oil filter. Yes, stock softail oil tank. For example, when the line leaves the pump, what route does it take to the filter mount? Same question for line from filter mount back to oil tank?

the line goes from the oil pump to the filter housing -- it travels straight down from the inside fitting , and does a 180 to the housing kind of a soft circle - -- than it returns along the side of the other one ( the return hose does ) back up to and passes the oil pump exit hose and fitting , and goes to the oil tank -- sometimes -- sometimes a clamp is attached to the lower block stud nut to the rear of the lower nose cone just under the oil pump -- we always attach the two of them together as they are inside the frame rail, under the nose cone, and away from the exhaust and the brake control linkage -- hope that helps - i have a FLSTFB on one of the lifts and can take a pix if its still foggy -- johnjzjz

Just an update. And another "thank you" for all of the help. I installed the oil filter mount and now its pretty clear to see how the lines run forward to it.
