Side stand angle?

Aha, hadn't thought of that angle (erm, no pun intended), me being 6'2" with legs 7' long.
I might have to look for a tag off an earlier model stand or make my own so the stand goes right forward like they did in the old days, when shortasses rode Hummers and Mustangs.

It maybe also has something to do with making sure the stand flicks up if the rider forgets to put it up before riding off. I notice the end of the locating tag is angled for this purpose, which the older ones do not. Maybe having the stand back past "top dead centre" assists in the automatic flicking up on the first lefthander?

Thanks for the input, all. Makes me much happier that they all do that, or nearly all.
