Odds are good it's loose connections at the battery, or where the main cables mount. It typically isn't corrosion that causes a full power outage, but it can be. So check the other ends of the main lines too.
Just looked up the lithium, it sells for almost $300.
My last HD OEM was $129 if I remember correctly. This will be it's 5th year if it makes it. 4 years are typical.
Trickle charge during the off season and in between rides seems to keep them in good running condition for a number of years.
Just curious, other than it being very light what makes Lithium worth twice the cost? All I saw was number of cells (16) and no other data. Perhaps they hold a higher cranking current?

Yes lithium will crank our big bagger over faster than an '80" engine even if we don't use the compression releases!! It has a lot more CCA's.
John!!!!
Mine had a Walmart battery in it when I got it. It was too small, and it lasted about 4-5 months I think. This will be my 3rd Deca in 7 years, not too bad considering the summers here. "They" say, 2 years is average for a battery in this environment. And this one isn't dead yet, but I have to hit the button twice to get it turned over, and when it was cold the other day it took 4 or 5 to get it to turn over. I'm not waiting 'til I get stranded.
3 batteries in 7 years???? That's a lot of batteries......I get 5 to 11 years on batteries in my cycles, cars and trucks. You may want to consider buying a different type battery or checking your charging system...

had that grief with acid batteries except they lasted about 12 months each
