We must get different H-D batteries down here because we get 330CCA and 2 years but we pay 284NZD for them!

What's that in US$? I just asked the guy what battery for my bike. I'm sure they have that bigger battery, but they said mine only needed that little weeny. That batt you're talking about would probably be close to $200. I know the Deca fits in my battery box nicely, maybe not the best way to gauge a battery, but I feel better.

I just bought a NAPA battery. It was the best one they sell for an FL and it was $122.00. I bought the NAPA battery because I was impatient, like a kid. I should have waited and gone to Harley for a battery. The NAPA battery is working fine but, I have always found Harley batteries to be the best motorcycle batteries I have found. On the metric bikes I used the cheap Auto Zone/Advance/Walmart batteries. I had one Harley battery that lasted seven years and was still kickin when I sold the bike. The math says even though the HD battery cost more up front it's cheaper in the long run. Like I said, I should have waited.

I like NAPA batteries. I got one in my truck. 5 year warranty, if anything goes wrong, I don't need a receipt, the date sold is on the battery, and it says NAPA, no questions asked. Actually, I'm getting that battery tomorrow at NAPA, I don't know why I'm thinking it's a Deca, maybe it is, maybe not.

Here's the one I've got in my bike.

I switched to Lithium a while back and I don't think any of my bikes will ever see a lead acid battery again. Since I've put them in every bike spins over faster and starts better. Even our big bagger that was famous for it's appetite for lead and acid, plus the dreaded click now and then has yet to give us any problems. The only short coming is lithium batteries go from working to not working when the charge is drained from them. So we trickle charge them just like the lead/acid ones, and unhook the negative in the bagger when we aren't using it as we did before.
