Default The old battery question

Time for a battery for my FLT. What says everyone? Cheap is good, but I want at least a 2 year battery. This Florida heat takes a toll on them. Thanks.

Batteries are one thing that I've learned to never skimp out on. Get a good one.

I have a Deka ext18l now. When I got it, it was $87, now it's $117. Everything going up except the money supply!

I like YUSA's better than Deca's.

H-D genuine OEM are the best you can get for a Harley.

My 7 year old Adventure Power battery is starting to get weak, so I am looking also. Walmart has batteries to fit my 99 FXSTC for $85.00. I forget what brand but they are AGM batteries. I may just try one of those. I think most of the batteries are all made in the same plant with a different name stamped on them anyway.

Mine had a Walmart battery in it when I got it. It was too small, and it lasted about 4-5 months I think. This will be my 3rd Deca in 7 years, not too bad considering the summers here. "They" say, 2 years is average for a battery in this environment. And this one isn't dead yet, but I have to hit the button twice to get it turned over, and when it was cold the other day it took 4 or 5 to get it to turn over. I'm not waiting 'til I get stranded.

Spanners, I just called Harley. They want $155, 1 year warranty, 280 CCA. The Deca is 2 year warranty, 330 CCA, for $98. Would you still go with Harley given those options?
