After 40 years of Harley's... There's a Difference in batteries but there's something you need to know to make it last. In the off season keep a 1 or 1.5 amp charger connected to it.

Do the lithium batteries require a different charger type or can I use what I have?

HD Part # 65898-90B cost me $115.97 on June 22, 2010 and is going strong. Last fall I occasionally heard the 'dreaded click'. Removed the battery ground from the frame, cleaned with a brass brush and coated in dielectric grease, tightened connections .... having experienced the 'dreaded click' since.
I'm think this solved the problem ..... for now

Yes sir you are correct, HD batts are Deka, just put the HD sticker on it and up the price 200%.
I just bought the Deka ETX20L a couple months back, very pleased with it paid $ 87.95 on Amazon.

We use regular chargers and trickle chargers without any problems so far. There are some chargers made for Lithium batteries, but we haven't had to use them.
