You're a wiser man than me in wrapping the frame before the motor install. I always lift it in by myself. I always tell myself I won't nick the frame anywhere. And I always end up putting a scratch on the frame where I KNEW I wouldn't hit anything, along with pinching a finger between the motor and frame as I realign what was crooked on the first attempt.
Maybe some day I'll learn. Yeah....right....

Got the engine in tonight my lovely wife ( who won't let me post her pic ) came out of the house to help me line the beast up in the frame. Hit the alignment first try and tightened up engine and trans , I was very surprised that the Ultima trans fit so perfect i thought for sure it was going to need to be shimmed .

Put the shocks on tonight and did the final install of the inner primary , now to my favorite part Wiring !!! Got my new ignition all wired up and the down run on the frame all nice and clean .

Rebuilt and painted my starter at work yesterday also cleaned armature and brushes while i was in there . After 4 hrs. and 2 trips to the hardware store today i finally got these Drag oil lines in . Not even sure i want to keep them on . Oil tank , swing arm , rear master cyl. & brake line all in and got he wiring in the frame all set . Now working on rear fender and setting it up so I can use my sissy bar when my daughter wants to ride off to the hardware store again in the morning .
