If it was me, I would put the Super traps back on. Much better performance then the drags. The only good performance you are going to get out of the drags is wide open throttle or full throttle. The mid & low is going to suck with the drags. But loud pipes do save lives.
Bottom out the idle mixture (lightly) don't crank it down, then back it off the 1 1/2 turns out like the S&S Super G settings suggest that little5150 posted. Once you get it running, let it warm up then turn the idle mixture screww in until it starts to die, then back it off untill the rpm speeds up and flattens out, then bring it back just between the two points. That should set you in the ball park. I run the same carb on my 96" stroker shovelhead with a 32 intermediate and 74 main.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I just like the look of drag pipes and the sound. I don't do a lot of wide open throttle traveling. Oh well, guess I'll sacrifice performance for now.
