The reason I asked what year is because the later 5 speeds (2000 Softail, 2001 other models) do not have the shift pawl adjuster.

Just wanted to follow up with my TRANNY problem without being banned. It was getting stuck in 2nd and 3rd gear. The middle spring plate was falling apart so an "Energy one" clutch pack and spring package was installed. Nice upgrade, could not be smoother.

Thanks Dan, I was worried it was going to be big money. Tranny got a good looking over and adjustment with a new race clutch. Time for that big trip now.
