No it's way better, it was really bad, I swapped it back once and it started lower shook hard as hell and went to 2400 RPMs. I want to relook at the ignition from plate to plugs. It's like flipping a switch on and off when it kicks in.

If it isn't just you, and its as bad as you say, it's got to be an ignition issue... only other thing I could think of would be an intake leak/carb issue, but if you've checked that, then I don't know. I wish I had an extra coil and fresh plug wires to loan you.

. I upped the pilot, adjusted the mixture. You know, thinking back I rode it once after I bought it, didn't go far just down the street and back but up to 3rd gear. Prior to getting a sticker I only changed the plugs and air filter and forwards. Before I made it down the street I felt something wrong. Is it possible I could have gotten a bad spark plug? Doesn't seem likely, I've had them out a few times they would have gotten out in different cylinders by now.

I missed the part where you said you could spin the compensator. Can you spin it by hand ? Or when you ran it with out the outer primary you could see in and out movement?

Worth a shot... I run NGK plugs in mine. Sometimes it's the simple things.

. If it's the damn plugs all this time I don't deserve to own it. I'll grab some they are cheap enough. I've always used NGK as well that's the iridiums in there now I'll get some regular ones for the hell of it.

Have you checked your drive belt tension/ alignment?

I changed my rear tire recently, and when I put it back together I had a nasty vibration @ around 2k rpms, much like yours.
I re-checked the tension on the belt, and it was too tight. Loosened it a little and it made a HUGE difference! Remember tension is to be checked w/ rider's weight on the bike.

If the plugs dont fix it, I wonder if unplugging the VOES might indicate the issue one way or another??? Kind of throwing it out there for someone more versed on it than me to discuss.. The thing that got me was your comment about the ignition not being right and that it comes and goes like a switch.. If you take the VOES out of the equation, it may make it good or bad at all times if its a timing problem.. Just a thought..
