By switch I mean it turns on at 2000 and off at 2050 or 2100. It's like night and day when it comes up through or down through that specific spot. Once past it either way feels like I think it should with vibe that lets you know you are on a harley.

As far as ignoring it. I can. I ride it as much as possible, I'd enjoy it more to get this sorted out though, I really don't mind the time put in. I got a good deal on it and want to keep it a long time. I just want it to be right. I'd rather get it resolved with some help here than hand over some cash getting it resolved and learning nothing in the process.

I'm with spanners on the crank being a suspect , but for your sake I'm hoping it's an alignment issue.

That's why I asked earlier about the compensator walk. For some reason I thought I saw where you ran it with the out primary off and could see the compensator walking which would be the suspect of a bearing failure , IMO I don't think that's your issue. Hope you get it straightened out were all waiting in the results.

Sorry I might not explained properly. I could only see the housing of the spring pack moving when looking down at it, because of the indents in it. I couldn't see the comp sprocket moving on the shaft when spinning. When I was adjusting the chain I think I remember seeing the comp moving on itself when spinning the back wheel. I don't remember if it compressed the spring or how far it moved but it moved. It moved when torquing the bolt too

You would know about it if the comp was doing bad things under way....its pretty rare.

Sprayed the intake again no idle change but got some black smoke so I guess it's leaking, didn't see it last time wasn't watching exhaust was watching intake and listening. Not sure why idle didn't change but the smoke is obvious. Picked up new autolite 65s and new intake gaskets and a new carb to manifold gasket. Got oem. Parts counter said install all dry and not lubed, is that correct or any tips tricks? Assume it's pretty straightforward

Also picked up a new digital magnetic level to recheck the alignment before and after shakedown.

Install dry and just make sure you tighten the flanges down nice and even so you don't distort the rubbers.
